Alleviating Food Insecurity in Our Community, One Meal at a Time

Food is more than sustenance — it is medicine, security, and dignity. Yet millions of people across the United States, including countless families right here in South Florida, face the painful reality of food insecurity every single day.

At MJD Wellness and Community Center, we recognize that good health starts with access to nutritious food. That's why we operate Nouri Nanm — a comprehensive food assistance program designed to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

What Is Nouri Nanm?

Nouri Nanm is MJD's food pantry program, providing free groceries, fresh produce, and essential household items to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Whether you're facing a temporary hardship, living on a fixed income, or simply struggling to make ends meet, Nouri Nanm is here to help.

We partner with local food banks, farms, and donors to provide high-quality, nutritious food — including fresh fruits and vegetables, proteins, grains, canned goods, and more. Everything is offered with compassion, respect, and zero judgment.

Who Can Access the Food Pantry?

Nouri Nanm is open to anyone in need. You don't need to be an MJD patient, have insurance, or meet complicated eligibility requirements. If you or your family needs food, we're here for you.

Our Sèvis are especially helpful for:

  • Low-income individuals and families
  • Seniors living on fixed incomes
  • Individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability
  • Single parents juggling multiple expenses
  • People recently unemployed or underemployed
  • Immigrants and refugees navigating a new community
  • Anyone facing an unexpected financial crisis

What Do We Provide?

Each visit to Nouri Nanm includes a personalized bag or box of groceries tailored to the size of your household. Items typically include:

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Proteins (chicken, beef, beans, eggs, etc.)
  • Rice, pasta, and grains
  • Canned goods (vegetables, soups, beans)
  • Bread and bakery items
  • Dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt when available)

We do our best to provide culturally appropriate foods and accommodate dietary restrictions whenever possible.

Every bag of groceries represents relief. Every meal represents hope. And every visit represents a community that refuses to let anyone go without.
